Abstract

Social and political transformations of the last decades in the country caused interest to a range of issues, defined as gender. Considerable empirical material provided the basis for the development of gender studies from the standpoint of world politics for the development of gender theory. In this article the emphasis is placed by the author on gender mainstreaming and its consideration as a pillar of international relations. In fact, until recently, the theory of international relations only partially included, but not integrated fully the prospect of study of world politics from the gender perspective. The challenges which we face today insist that we are to learn to design a «gender-sensitive» world politics. The author considers it appropriate to disclose the nature of the category of «gender» highlights gender issues in the context of knowledge about international relations and proposes the inclusion of gender analysis in the basic categories of International relations knowledge.
