Some theoretical aspects of migration processes in the context of sustainable development
Keywords:
migration, sustainable development, the rights of migrant, remittancesAbstract
Migration issues in the context of globalization became very sensitive and significant. An important role in migration studies takes the question of migration and sustainable development linkages. Sustainable development as a new theoretical construct and as a new direction in the context of the overall development process is determined by such aspects as the rights of migrant workers, gender , remittances , and the skills of migrants. All of these elements are an important part of determining the linkage of migration and sustainable development. The analysis of migration through the prism of sustainable development is the most promising in view of a new positive vision in which migration processes in the context of globalization are seen as the circulation of “brains “ and “ labor “, rather than losing them by sending countries. At the same time the approach to migration processes, based on human rights in the countries of destination will enhance the contribution to sustainable development, both at the national and regional level.References
