Energy policy of the European Union in Central Asia

Abstract

Energy policy has become one of the most important areas of modern EU policies. The European Union is making efforts to create a single European energy market, which takes place in the transformation of the energy infrastructure throughout the Eurasian region to ensure the energy security of the EU. The feature of the interaction the EU and the Eurasian region is that the energy factor affects almost the entire spectrum of their cooperation. Analysis of European Union foreign policy in the region allows us to give forecasts for the European energy policy, its impact on the geopolitical and geo-economic situation in Central Asia.
