Some aspects of the Bangladesh-India relations

Abstract

In this article some aspects of actual problems between India and Bangladesh are considered. The problems complicating the relations between India and Bangladesh cover three categories. The question of distribution of waters of the Ganges River concerns to one of them. The second problem – a flow of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, for protection from which India even constructed protective constructions of a barbed wire. Dispute on accessory of one small island in Bay of Bengal, known as the island New Moore and called Purbashebi in West Bengal and Talpatti in Bangladesh was one more question complicating the relations. Analyzing these problems and prospects the relation of two countries, in article the factors interfering in the solution of these questions are considered and some recommendations about development bilateral the relation within Southern Asian association of regional cooperation are made.
