Problemsofnuclear free zone formation in north korean peninsula

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the analysis of North Korean nuclear program. This issue is relevant not only for the states of that region but it is also the subject of intense discussion of world powers. Today ensuring nuclear securiity is a primary goal of the world community. The solution of this problem will influence on the future of world policy, to what consequences this problem will lead at the beginning of the next century, whether it will be nuclear or non-nuclear. The events of past years in the political life of DPRK, primarily caused by North Korean new leader Kim Jong Un’s attempts to establish himself as an authority in the eyes of his father's associates. For the world community the nuclear program of Democratic People's Republic of Korea is seen to be a danger, it is connected with the violation of international nuclear non-proliferation regime, and also with the possibility of exporting nuclear technologies to other countries.
Moreover, the problem has a general destabilizing impact on the North East Asia region and presents direct threat for South Korea and Japan. This facts have raised a certain concerns in the world.
