The article discovers the position of Kazakhstan on issues of nuclear safety. An analysis of President Nursultan Nazarbayev initiatives on nuclear disarmament shows base recognized by the world community as a priority of our country as a leader of the antinuclear movement. The article details the specific steps for the implementation of Kazakhstan's non-proliferation policy: from the close of the nuclear test site to initiatives undertaken as a participant in global forums. Particular attention is paid to the activities of the scientific community to support Nazarbayev initiatives
