The evolution of China’s currency policy

Abstract

China is one of the world leaders in terms of economic growth. China’s success is largely achieved through a flexible economic policy. It is an integral part of a consistent and sufficiently effective monetary policy. The mechanisms and motives underlying the monetary policy of the state in recent decades, very specific. Often, they are far from standard models and straight decisions, including by virtue of originality economic and historical conditions of the country. The article analyzes the stages of development of China’s currency policy in historical perspective, as well as its main goals, objectives and direction. Particular emphasis is placed on the regulation of the exchange rate regime of the yuan. The problems of monetary policy and ways to solve them.
