The main directions of the strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Spain

Abstract

Since its independence Kazakhstan implements the effective multi-vector foreign policy. The European vector is one of the important directions. The Republic of Kazakhstan is attractive to European Union with the presence of significant natural resources, especially the energetic one, high transit potential and the possibility of its use in the development of transport infrastructure. Moreover, Kazakhstan is an active member of the international community and the initiator of the most important regional and global initiatives in the area of security and development. One of the important political and economic partners of Kazakhstan among the European Union countries is the Kingdom of Spain. Nowadays, bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Spain have reached the level of strategic partnership and have positive development.
