Theoretical aspects of energy security

This article studies theoretical aspects of energy security. Works and thoughts of different authors concerning theoretical aspects of energy security has been studied. Energy security is built on number of complex factors related to international trade, transportation and prices. Thus, energy security and solution of different problems related to it needs all-round study of the subject including theoretical studies. Nowadays, due to close interconnections between states energy factor affects the entire world. In this case, energy security needs special attention in international relations. In international relations theories energy security concepts were discussed within realism and neorelism, liberalism and neoliberalism. Realism is a dominating approach in an energy security studies. Theoretical aspects of the problem were studied in a works of H. Morgenthau, K. Watlz, R. Gilpin, B. Buzan.Downloads
