The European Union Strategy for Central Asia in the European political discourse

Abstract

The 2013th year formally completed the action of the EU Strategy for Central Asia (2007-2013), officially referred to as «the European Union and Central Asia: Strategy for a New Partnership». Between Kazakhstan and the European Union already summarized the results of cooperation, there are positive results, along with critical thinking are present. Strategy for Central Asia, adopted by the European Council in June 2007, laid the foundations, forms and areas of cooperation between the European Union and the Central Asian states. One of the techniques – discourse analysis reveals the interests and the force of attraction between the two regions – the EU and Central Asia, and also to outline the prospects of a new stage of cooperation.
