UN Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners, 1955: the question of the revision

Abstract

The article presents a brief overview of the causes and conditions that prompted the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice: consider the problem revision of international standards for the treatment of prisoners in 2012; to request to establish an intergovernmental expert group on the issue.
