Cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of energy resources within CES

Abstract

Energy cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is one of the cooperation key areas of two countries. Despite the fact that Russia and Kazakhstan are the leading exporters of hydrocarbons in the world, the cooperation between two countries has been gaining momentum. As a result of it, the countries which could became competitors, show one of the most successful examples of economic integration on the post-Soviet space. The article attempts to analyze the problems and prospects of energy cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. In this work a systematic analysis has been applied, which made it possible to draw a conclusion on problems of cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of energy, a predictive method was applied to assess the prospects for cooperation.
