Problems and prospects of China’s participation in global financial markets

Abstract

China’s transformation for the last decades into one of the largest economies in the world entails a natural extension of its participation in the global financial markets. Especially considerably participation of China in the organization of new international financial institutions and the role of the RMB in international payments and foreign exchange operations. Grow as overseas Chinese investment and foreign exchange reserves of the country. All these processes caused an extensive discussion of a question of prospects of transformation of the Chinese yuan in the world’s reserve currency and the corresponding decrease in influence in a world financial system of the American dollar.
