Nuclear non-proliferation and the peaceful use of nuclear energy in foreign policy of Кazakhstan

Priority issues of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy, based on commitment to consolidate international security, are the issues of strengthening the international regime of nuclear non-proliferation and has peaceful use of nuclear energy. Kazakhstan Anti-nuclear policy contributed to the establishment of a trust relationship with the international community, contributed to the country’s involvement in the construction of the international security system. This article discusses the policy of Kazakhstan on the strengthening of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and at the same time, Its contribution to the cooperation in developing peaceful uses of atomic energy. Kazakhstan’s initiative on the establishment of International nuclear fuel Bank led to the signing of the relevant agreement with the IAEA in 2015 Thus, Kazakhstan acts as one of the guarantors of safe service of the atom for peaceful purposes as fuel for nuclear power plants.Downloads
