THE EUROASIAN IDEA IN THE OFFICIAL POLITICAL DISCOURSE OF KAZAKHSTAN, RUSSIA AND BELARUS

Abstract

Eurasian idea has recently become popular in the Russia political discourse, especially after Vladimir Putin’s interview with «Izvestia» newspaper in October 2011. This article is devoted to the main initiatives of the Russian Federation in the integration project for the Eurasian space. The author compares Vladimir Putin’s Eurasian integration ideas with ideas and initiatives that promoted by N. Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, and have already been taken for carrying out since 1994.
