Central Asia in foreign policy of the European Union: water and energy aspect

Abstract

The research of water and energy issues in Central Asia in the context of the interests of the European Union is necessary for understanding the position of geopolitical players in the Central Asian region. The article analyzes the European Union contemporary policy for Central Asia in the field of water and energy resources. Considerable attention is paid to ensuring EU energy interests in Central Asia, to the EU experience in solving problems of transboundary rivers. Analysis of EU foreign policy in the region allows us to give forecasts for European energy policy, its impact on the geopolitical and geo-economic situation in Central Asia.
